2003 SEASON IN REVIEW Well, we ended up finishing second in the 2003 NMCA Hot Street Championship! We had an up and down year, winning four out of eight races, and not doing so well in the other four. For info on each individual race, check the "Race Report" link under each headline below. I would like to thank everybody that had a hand in our four wins this year. My crew, Paul and Rob. I would not be able to race without them. Bruce, Mike and Jon at our chassis shop. Aeroquip, Autometer, Manley, Racepak, Strange, Turbostart and Weld. THANKS EVERYONE! A GOOD START TO THE NEW SEASON Race 1 - Atlanta Dragway, GA We Won! After qualifying a struggling fourth, we go on to win the first event of the year! (Three wins here officially makes Atlanta our #1 favorite track!) Race Report BROKEN PARTS AND BROKEN DREAMS Race 2 - Montgomery Motorsports Park, AL You win some – you lose some. But it is really hard to lose first round after going to eleven straight finals. This last weekend our streak was broken. Race Report PROBLEMS AT NO PROBLEM Race 3 - No Problem Raceway, LA It was another weekend that we would rather not remember. We had some problems, learned a little, and lost in the semi-finals. Race Report WHEN IT RAINS, IT POURS Race 4 - Cecil County Dragway, MD We went early and tested, ran some of our best numbers, got excited, sat in the rain, got one round of qualifying, and left before the finals. Race Report ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL! Race 5 - US 131 Raceway Park, MI We won again! Just like last year, only not as pretty. (Two wins in a row officially makes US 131 our 2nd favorite track!) Race 6 - Pittsburgh Raceway Park, PA After a couple engine swaps and a broken windshield, we lost in the semi-finals. At least it didn't rain! Check out the Race Report below, and the pics in the Photo Gallery. Race Report A WIN THE FIRST TIME OUT! Race 7 - Mid Michigan Motorplex, MI We win yet another! And with a brand new car! It has been a lot of work, but it all paid off! We qualified number one, and won the race! We also earned the "Editors Choice Award" for the Stanton race. Race 8 - National Trail Raceway, OH Again! After stuggling with the car for days, we ran our best numbers of the year, and won for the fourth time in 2003, and the second time straight at the Nitrous Express NMCA World Finals! And, while we did not win the Hot Street Championship this year, it went down to the final round to determine our second place finish for 2003! Pictures are in the Photo Gallery! Race Report
